This is a beautiful Sancerre, pure Sauvignon Blanc. A lovely wine with a crisp spark of mineral, very clean and steely character. Not to be Missed. $21.99 great value.

Savennieres, Cheteau de Chamboureau 2002
This wine comes from a region right next to Sancerre. Here the grape is Chenin Blanc. This has some of the characteristics of its nextdoor neighbor, but with more sweetness. One gets a little melon on the nose and a bit of honey on the palate. This is also a great buy at $23.99
